While black cats are just as adorable and beautiful as cats of any other color, people still get blinded by their superstition and avoid adopting them. One photographer, who volunteers at the Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority (SVACA) in Santa Clara, California, witness this first hand decided to do something about it.

Seeing that the black kittens and cats get adopted last, the photographer launched a campaign in order to boost black cat adoption. They created fake covers of prestigious magazines and put black cats on them in order to show people what they are missing out. If this campaign turns out to be successful, a “dog cover” edition might be next.
