Photographer Takes Photos Of Shelter Dogs to Help Them Get Adopted

Josie Baughan is a dog photographer with a special mission – she photographs rescued dogs in order to help them get adopted. Baughan always loved working with dogs and she described them as perfect models because they are “naturally expressive, distinctive and entirely unique”.

The photographer decided to use her skills and love for dogs to help dog shelters get better photos of dogs with the hope they’ll get adopted faster.

“I take the time to get to know each shelter dog I photograph. They get to have a sniff of the camera (and me!) and I have plenty of treats on hand in case a little motivation is needed. It’s as much about creating a positive experience as it is getting a good photo. Giving them the opportunity to stretch their legs and experience something a little bit different is a great form of enrichment for a dog that would otherwise be sitting in a kennel or run,” the photographer shared on Bored Panda.

The amazing thing is that with Baughan’s help, these beautiful dogs found their owners mush easier. Take a look at some of the photos.
