Rachel Altschuler is Celebrating the Beauty of Birds Through Her Art

Each bird is beautiful in its own right, and Rachel Altschuler came up with a perfect way to celebrate the uniqueness of these amazing creatures. Her body of work mostly consists of bird paintings, and she’s using them to educate the public about different bird species and their unique qualities.

Altschuler is a painter based in New Harbor, Maine, who studied art at Coastal Carolina University. She spent five years working as an art teacher at Villa Maria Academy High School in Malvern, Pennsylvania, but eventually decided to take a leap of faith and pursue a full-time career as an artist.

Altschuler’s paintings are a reflection of her love of nature, and she uses birds as the most common subject in her art. She relies on attention to detail, bold brushstrokes, and use of color to capture many different bird species, perfectly encapsulating their playful energy.

Altschuler enjoys bringing birds’ personalities to life with each brushstroke, and her paintings will help you appreciate the unique characteristics of different bird species.

“I have always been fascinated by the unique energy and spirit of birds. Over the years, they have become one of my favorite subjects to paint. Every type of bird has its own set of personality traits, which I try to bring out by painting them in portrait style,” she explains on her official website.
