Altschuler is a painter based in New Harbor, Maine, who studied art at Coastal Carolina University. She spent five years working as an art teacher at Villa Maria Academy High School in Malvern, Pennsylvania, but eventually decided to take a leap of faith and pursue a full-time career as an artist.
Altschuler’s paintings are a reflection of her love of nature, and she uses birds as the most common subject in her art. She relies on attention to detail, bold brushstrokes, and use of color to capture many different bird species, perfectly encapsulating their playful energy.

“I have always been fascinated by the unique energy and spirit of birds. Over the years, they have become one of my favorite subjects to paint.
