If you love having plants in your home, but constantly struggle to keep them alive, Raffaele Di Lallo is here to help you out. He’s the mastermind behind the Instagram page Ohio Tropics, and he’s using his extensive plant knowledge to help other people take proper care of their home gardens.
Di Lallo has been taking care of plants for as long as he can remember because his family used to have a huge vegetable and flower garden in his youth.
“I grew up in an Italian family and I’ve been around plants literally for as long as I can remember. I was exposed to outdoor gardening even before house plants, but I’ve been around all of it all of the time since I was a child,” he told LH Gardens.
He was in middle school when he decided to start growing house plants because his father used to smoke a lot, and he decided to fill the home with plants so they would purify the air.
Di Lallo’s collection kept growing over the years, and he learned pretty much everything there is to know about plant care. He’s now using his Instagram page Ohio Tropics to share useful tips and tricks with plant lovers, and he even published several books on the subject, including Houseplant Warrior.
