Rescued Pitbull Becomes Internet Sensation For His Love of Tacos

Lucky The Pitbull was left starving and cold in a locked house for a week. The dog broke through the glass to escape his dreadful situation, but he was shot in the face and leg, nearly killing him.

He was rescued by the Great Plains Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and after spending several days in the hospital, Lucky found his forever home with the Rudman family in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

Today, Lucky is living a better life and has an Instagram account with over 26k followers. He became famous on social media because of his love for tacos. He loves to eat this Mexican food and loves to crunch the shells.

Recently, the rescued pit bull turned five. He celebrated his birthday with his family and some of his furry brothers and sisters. And of course, there were lots of tacos! The fun party took place at a Taco Republic truck.

“I just want to make his life so much better than what it was before,” Gina Rudman said according to KMVT. “I think we’re doing that. I think he’s a pretty happy guy.”

This is Dorian. There are 6 photos in this post, only the last is graphic. I want Luckys account to be a happy account even though I am painfully aware that in animal welfare there is so much “unhappy”. But Dorian deserves everything I can do to help him find his forever home. Dorian is a friend of my husbands. I have also spent time with him and he is the sweetest guy ever. We would’ve adopted Dorian already except that he needs to be an only dog for awhile. In August of last year, a landlord found Dorian locked in a crate inside a closet. It is believed he was there for 2 months. It is a miracle that he survived and when he was rescued he weighed in at a whopping 20 pounds. Dorian had a very long road to recovery but In typical pitbull fashion, he showed everyone that he is #pitbullstrong. Dorian was eventually adopted by a family who returned him. They were not active enough and the main caretaker had a shoulder injury that limited their abilities. Dorian is a 2 year old pitbull mix and needs a family that can exercise him regularly and be patient and understanding if he jumps or pulls on the lead. He is declining rapidly since his return and the shelter volunteers and workers are very worried for him. Shane has taken Dorian on several outings and he was the guest of honor at the AJLA Wine and Wags event last year. Some of you may even remember seeing him on Lucky’s story on one of our outings to get ice cream. He is a good boy that was dealt a very bad hand in life. The right person or family is out there and although I’ve made a point to avoid these types of posts on Luckys account, I won’t let this boy get to the point that euthanasia is being considered as a better option than shelter life. If you are interested in learning more about Dorian please email [email protected] Please share, Dorian deserves a good life with someone who loves him. He deserves a taco on taco Tuesday and all of the wonderful things a forever home has. Thank you💙🍀 . . . #fordorian #rescued #goodboy #stopanimalcruelty #endanimalabuse #adoptdontshop #inherentlygood #loved #pitbull #pitbulllove #pitbulladvocate
