Scamp the Tramp is a dog who won an unusual beauty competition; he was crowned the ugliest dog in the world.

Das ist Scamp the Tramp, seit letztem Wochenende „hässlichster Hund der Welt“. Dazu ist er beim World's Ugliest Dog Contest in Kalifornien gekürt worden. Eine Schönheit ist er wirklich nicht, aber er hat eine gute Seele – das behauptet zumindest seine Besitzerin. The World’s Ugliest Dog Contest was held at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma, California for the 31st year in a row. Scamp from Santa Rosa won and got the chance to appear on the Today show. He and his owner Yvonne Morones also won $1,500 for themselves and another $1,500 to donate to an animal shelter.

“He’s Scamp the Champ, no longer Scamp the Tramp,” Morones told a local newspaper. “I think the audience saw his beautiful spirit and everything he’s given back to the community.”
