Sylvester Stallone’s Turtles From the Original ‘Rocky’ Are Still Alive

In 1976, Sylvester Stallone made one of the most iconic movies of all time in which he played the boxer, Rocky Balboa. Fans of the Rocky franchise might remember that the boxer had two pet turtles in the original movie. He bought the turtles in a pet store where his love interest Adrian was working and named the turtles Cuff and Link.

Rocky’s pets are apparently still alive and well after all this time. Last year, after more than four decades, Stallone reunited with the pair on the set of Creed II. The actor posted a picture with the turtles on his Instagram page. The caption read – “with my original buddies from the first Rocky… Cuff and Link, now about 44 years old!”

The man who owned the pet store where Cuff and Link were bought, was taking care of them all these years. When Stallone found out that turtles were still alive, he decided to cast them again, and they were featured in both Rocky Balboa and Creed.
