]]>The heartwarming story began in June 2021, when Joshua and Jose Francisco found a kitten sleeping against their garage. Since his mom couldn’t be found anywhere, they decided to bring him home. They offered him water and then realized that the baby feline couldn’t see.
“He was using his paw to determine the depth because he wasn’t seeing. We cleaned up his eyes the best we could the first night,” they said in a statement on Instagram. “The next morning, we went to the vet to get his eyes looked at to see if we could help. They said there was an infection that we needed to see if we can fix to restore his vision.”
Whiskers shortly became a family member and were introduced to his dog brothers. A few weeks later, they went to see a specialist who explained that the cat can see light. However, there needs to pass a couple of weeks before he receives his new treatment.
Life with him is fun! Joshua and Jose Francisco bought him a big cat three, and although he knows how to climb up, he still struggles to get down.

]]>YouTube channel ViralHog recently shared a clip captured by one cat owner in West Carrollton, Ohio. The clip shows a blind feline named Momo successfully climbing down a scratching post all by herself.
Momo can be seen standing on the top level of the post and using her sense of touch to decide where to go next. The cat first explores the borders of each post before finding the best route to go forward. At one point, she hangs from one plank using her front paws while tapping around with her rear paws until she finds the bottom plank.
Eventually, she safely gets down and hops on the couch.
According to Momo’s owner, the cat is dealing exceptionally well with her condition and isn’t letting the lack of sight prevent her from enjoying life.
“She chases her siblings around and mostly doesn’t run into things. I’ve even seen her jump up from the floor to the armrest of the green chair she walks on in the video. It’s still hard to hold myself back, but she’s shown me she’s got it handled,” the cat’s owner explained.

]]>Ace, the protagonist of this story loves exploring the front porch and that is how he got popular around the neighborhood.
“We discovered that Ace loves people – the mailman, the delivery guy, all of the neighbors. He will greet anyone who steps onto our driveway, and he gets quite a lot of visitors,” Maikovich told Love Meow.
However, there is one particular boy who comes to greet Ace every single day. The family checked their security cameras and discovered the beautiful friendship between their cat and the kid.
“It melted our hearts, not just seeing how much Ace loves this boy, but how familiar they were to each other,” she added. “Once we realized that they were fast-friends, it made us really happy. We told Ace’s buddy that he’s allowed over any time — a friend of Ace’s is a friend of ours.”
