]]>Here’s how you can tell if your dog is bored.
Your dog may seek your attention by being hyperactive and pursuing you to do something together.
This is a common sign of boredom. A bored dog will bark at everything and everyone.
If your dog is bored, it may try to escape. This especially happens with dogs that live indoors and don’t have much chance to go outside and find something to play with on their own.
If you don’t have enough time to play with your dog, consider looking for someone that can help you. It’s important to walk a dog at least once per day and to play games that will keep it stimulated, both physically and mentally.

]]>When your dog has a potty accident, you have to rub its nose in it
Most puppies see no association whatsoever between her having had a potty accident and you rubbing her nose in it. By doing this, you’ll most likely make your puppy feel afraid and it’ll start urinating in hidden places. What you should do, is encourage your pet to give you clear pre-potty signs such as heading towards the door or sniffing around.

It’s better to adopt a puppy than a senior dog
Puppies are adorable, but there’s an endless list of reasons why a senior dog from a shelter can be an ideal pet for you. First of all, he will be forever grateful for your love and care.
You shouldn’t break up a dog fight
This is actually partly false. You should never break up a dog fight, because some of the worst dog bites happen when owners try to separate fighting dogs. On the other hand, there are successful ways to break up the scuffle by using water, a really loud noise, or distract a dog with treats.

]]>Pay attention next time you’re training your dog – is he starting to yawn after a while? It means that he’s on the edge of patience. Yawning means he is done with whatever you’re doing and ready to move on to some other activity.
In some cases, yawning means that a dog is anticipating some stress. The common place where this happens is a vet’s office, as he knows that the experience is probably not going to be comfortable. In other cases, dogs will yawn to control enthusiasm before a happy event, such as a walk.
And finally, sometimes a yawn is just a yawn with no particular meaning behind it. Yes, it can mean that your dog is simply tired.
