]]>We know that dogs have a natural instinct to help and protect humans. This instinct was so strong in Oliveira that he decided to walk into a police station several years ago and refused to leave until he got a job.
At the time, Oliveira was a stray dog who was afraid of humans. When he arrived at the police station, he decided to sit in one corner and refused any help from the police officer. However, one officer named Cristiano wasn’t willing to give up, eventually gaining the dog’s trust.
Oliveira soon became so fond of Cristiano that he didn’t want to leave his side. He would follow him to his house and then back to the police station the next morning. Other police officers immediately liked the dog’s energy and perseverance, so they decided to accept him as one of their own.
Oliveira received his own uniform and became a full member of the department. He loves every moment of this, and these Instagram posts prove it.

She likes crawling all over him, pulling his ears, grabbing his toes and paws, and he doesn’t mind at all.

I’ve spent five years with Sonny trying to get him to give me the ball back, and we had our frustrations, but she’s never even learned to say a single word, and she can get it back from him, and that’s where I see the changes,” Sonny’s dad Jason told The Dodo.
They are currently expecting another family member to arrive in April, another little girl, and they are super excited for Reagan to become a big sister. Sonny is certainly going to have his paws full!

]]>The 5-year-old dog always lighten up the mood at the station and loves to meet new people and hang out with other officers.
When his owner bought some protective footwear for Jary, Hower didn’t expect the dog’s funny reaction. Fortunately, a fellow K9 handler captured the hilarious moment.
Naturally, shoes can throw off a dog’s balance and friction, and it’s evident that Jary is struggling with both. “This was his first time wearing these particular brand of boots,” Hower shared. “We had a good laugh while watching his response to the boots, but encouraged him at the same time.”
Hower was just going to share the video to his family and friends, but since it was posted on the official Facebook page of the police department, Jary instantly became famous. His video has been viewed over 6 million times and liked by 42k people, as of today.
“I had no clue the video would be this popular,” Hower shared. “I’m very glad Jary could put a smile on people’s faces and I appreciate all the wonderful comments supporting police officers and our K9 partners.”
According to Hower, Jary is a sweet and great dog, always making sure that he is fine. “He follows me around the house no matter what time of day and has to know where I am,” Hower said. “If I have to leave home, he will lay by the door until I get home. He is a great dog at home and at work.”
As for the new winter booties, it’s going to take some time before Jary will get used to it. “He still doesn’t like them,” Hower said. “But I’m confident he will learn to be comfortable in them as he wears them more.”
