At the time, Oliveira was a stray dog who was afraid of humans. When he arrived at the police station, he decided to sit in one corner and refused any help from the police officer. However, one officer named Cristiano wasn’t willing to give up, eventually gaining the dog’s trust.
Oliveira soon became so fond of Cristiano that he didn’t want to leave his side. He would follow him to his house and then back to the police station the next morning. Other police officers immediately liked the dog’s energy and perseverance, so they decided to accept him as one of their own.
