Cats and rats are mortal enemies, right? Well, that’s what we thought, but one cat and rat duo is now making us question this.
Filya the rat and Perseya the cat are far from enemies. They are actually best friends. Filya enjoys cuddling with Perseya and frequently kisses her with excitement. According to their owner Irina, the two seem like they are “glued together.” And judging by a video posted on her social media, that couldn’t be more true.
The clip, which has already hit 645K views and counting, shows Filya jumping on Perseya and giving her a hug. The rat then proceeds to give the cat lots of kisses and tickles.
In a chat with The Dodo, Irina revealed that she takes measures of precaution just in case and never leaves the two alone. But the two never showed ill intent towards each other as they absolutely love each other. They even comfort each other in times of stress.
The family was taking a trip, and Perseya seemed quite nervous about it. Filya stepped in and did everything to help her calm down.
“He was giving her little kisses to calm her down,” Irina shared. “You could really see how thankful she was in the moment.”
