The post Watch Holly the Rabbit Get Her First Taste of Freedom After Being Rescued From a Lab appeared first on Our Funny Little Site.
]]>According to the organization, Holly the rabbit spent her entire life in a “tiny cage being tested on.” After being freed by the Beagle Freedom Project team from a testing lab, Holly was brought to their rescue facilities and encouraged to get outside and hop on the grass for the first time.
Initially, Holly was afraid of the outdoors, choosing to stay in her carrier. But after being bribed with a juicy carrot, the bunny finally finds the courage to come out.
The rabbit can later be seen enjoying green pastures, getting snuggles, and overall embracing her newfound freedom.
Holly quickly captured the hearts of social media users, while Beagle Freedom Project received praise for their actions.
“Thank you for saving her, you are doing amazing things,” one TikToker wrote.
“she’s so pretty i’m crying,” another added.
Holly is currently staying at Beagle Freedom Project’s facilities but the organization is working on finding it a new home and a family that will shower it with love.

]]>The post Top 4 Differences Between Rabbits and Hares appeared first on Our Funny Little Site.
]]>The main difference between the two is their size. Hares are usually bigger than rabbits. While rabbits can grow up to 20 inches in length and weigh around four pounds, hares’ body length reaches up to 30 inches and can weigh up to 10 pounds.
If you look closely, the difference in appearance between the two is easily noticeable. For example, hares have longer ears and hind legs and black markings on their fur. Additionally, their fur changes depending on the season, while rabbits keep the same fur color year-round.
Rabbits prefer to spend their days surrounded by trees and bushes, living in burrows in the ground. Hares, on the other hand, like to live in open areas like grasslands and savannas, where they make nests in shallow pits.
We know rabbits can be really fast, reaching speeds of 35 mph. However, hares are even faster, being able to run at a speed of 45 mph. This is why rabbits will usually respond to the attack of a predator by trying to find a hiding place, while hares will attempt to outrun them.

]]>The video below shows a cute rabbit named Pipkin eating one of his favorite snacks, celery, in front of a mike that provides a satisfying ASMR effect. If you’re not familiar with it, ASMR stands for an autonomous sensory meridian response, which is another name for a pleasant feeling we get when our senses are triggered. In this case, the feeling comes from the satisfying sound of a bunny eating a crunchy vegetable.
If you’re wondering if celery is safe for rabbits, Pipkin’s owner assures us that it most definitely is, if consumed moderately.

]]>The post Do You Know What a Rabbit Binky Is? appeared first on Our Funny Little Site.
]]>If you’ve ever seen a rabbit binky, you were probably wondering if he was okay. It’s a distinctive movement when a rabbit jumps into the air and twists its head and body in the opposite directions, before falling back. They do it while standing or while running. It’s a sure sign of happiness and a joy to watch.
Not all bunnies binky. Some do it all the time, and some hardly at all, and that doesn’t mean they are any less happy. It’s all about their individual temperament. Some bunnies just do a head flick, and some are done with a simple ear flick. But it can get pretty funny when they have big ears!
If you imitate the binky, your pet bunny will get the message – some of them will binky back to show you that they are as happy as you are. Just don’t try the full, real binky. A head/ear twist will be enough.

]]>“Here is something you don’t see every day: a #baldeagle and a red #fox fighting over a rabbit — and at times more than 20 feet up into the air. It happened Saturday at #SanJuanIsland National Historical Park. The fox caught the rabbit and the eagle tried to steal it away. See the whole sequence of images and hear the story on my blog at LivingWilderness.com. Click blog. It was absolutely incredible to see. The whole battle lasted just eight seconds. The fox ended up OK, but lost its dinner,” Ebi wrote along the photo he posted on Instagram.
He wrote about it in more detail on his blog, livingwilderness, where you can also see more pictures.
The awesome scene was also captured on video by Zachary Hartje and you can check it out below.
