]]>The brilliant idea came to Pavel’s mind a year ago, when he lost his beloved four-legged pet named Barsik. The boy wanted to help animals in need and that’s why he started a project called “Kind paintbrush,” with the help of his mother Ekaterina Bolshakova.
Thanks to his amazing talent, Pavel is able to help the local shelter by painting animal portraits. In return, pet owners have to donate kilograms of dog food, dog collars, medicine, and other things that these animals need. Pavel’s project already became widely popular and people from all over Russia are ordering their pet portraits and making their contributions. He even sent his artwork to foreign counties such as Spain and Germany.
Pavel and his mother also manage a group on Russian social media site, VK, called “What a little volunteer is capable of?” and they’re trying to educate and show people what each individual can do to help animals in need.
At such a young age, Pavel is setting a great example for all of us, so make sure to follow and support his work.

]]>This shelter puppy from Dallas has a long, black mustache stretching from one side of her lip to another, that bare a striking resemblance to Spanish Surrealist painter Salvador Dalí. This is why the cute puppy was named Salvador Dolly.
Dolly, her mom, and 10 other siblings were saved by Dallas Animal Services and Hearts & Bones Rescue. They’re now safe in foster care until the 5-week-old puppies are old enough to get adopted.
“The puppies are all so unique looking and adorable, and while we are overwhelmed with applications for Dolly right now, her siblings are still looking for homes in the NYC area! We also need foster homes in NYC ready to take them in when they arrive”, Allison Seelig from Hearts & Bones Rescue told Bored Panda.
Dolly’s siblings are also named after famous people like Henri Matisse, Jackson Pollock, Frida Kahlo, Pablo Picasso, Kara Walker, and Mary Cassat. The puppies are reportedly very active and playful and they are all waiting to find a new home soon.

]]>The photographer decided to use her skills and love for dogs to help dog shelters get better photos of dogs with the hope they’ll get adopted faster.
“I take the time to get to know each shelter dog I photograph. They get to have a sniff of the camera (and me!) and I have plenty of treats on hand in case a little motivation is needed. It’s as much about creating a positive experience as it is getting a good photo. Giving them the opportunity to stretch their legs and experience something a little bit different is a great form of enrichment for a dog that would otherwise be sitting in a kennel or run,” the photographer shared on Bored Panda.
The amazing thing is that with Baughan’s help, these beautiful dogs found their owners mush easier. Take a look at some of the photos.
