]]> Sockington the cat is one of the most popular cats on social media. With 1.22 million followers on Twitter and over 300,000 on Facebook, he has earned his fame over many years. His owner Jason Scott first made him a Twitter account in 2007 and a Facebook page in 2008. Scott found Sockington as a stray in Boston in 2004 and they immediately became best friends.

If you’re not yet familiar with Sockinton’s Twitter account, you must check it out. You will find thousands of tweets written by Scott from the cat’s perspective and they are often hilarious. Here are a few of them:
