]]>Cocoa, who resides in Indiana with his owner, absolutely loves to climb on elevated surfaces and remain there. Cocoa’s Instagram profile, which she shares with her sibling Ollie, is full of videos showing the pupper resting on a kitchen counter.
If you are wondering how Cocoa manages to reach the kitchen counter, there is a clip showing that as well. As it turns out, the doggo came up with a genius method that allows her to climb in no time. She first gets on the barstool and then just crosses to the counter. After taking a glance at her surroundings from a new perspective, she lays down and simply enjoys her favorite resting spot.
According to her owner, the dog simply likes being in high places.
“I think she likes to be up high. She’s at eye level with us and we’re like right in her face and she’s in ours,” Cocoa’s owner told The Dodo in a recent interview.

]]>Officer Ice serves as the police dog at the Wyandotte Police Department (WPD) in Wyandotte, Michigan, and he suddenly found himself in the spotlight after his fellow officers shared his mugshot on Facebook, which attracted thousands of shares, likes, and comments.
Officer Ice is generally a good dog, despite being hit with accusations of taking food right from coworkers’ hands as they walk by, but he finally crossed the line one night when his fellow Officer Barwig was called into the WPD jail for assistance.
According to WPD’s Facebook post, “Barwig’s entire lunch was gone….disappeared, vanished” by the time he returned, while Officer Ice was “leisurely strolling out of the room licking his chops.” This was proof enough for WPD to accuse him of stealing, but his legion of fans didn’t feel the same way.
WPD was forced to drop all charges against Officer Ice after his mugshot went viral since many people felt he couldn’t have possibly committed such a heinous crime. His local supporters even dropped off some custom sandwiches for Ice so he doesn’t have to steal from his co-workers again.

]]>A homeowner in Philly’s Fishtown town neighborhood decided to decorate their fence with a scene from the music video for Michael Jackson’s hit “Thriller.” It features Jackson’s signature outfit with a red-and-black jacket and red pants alongside some customary bats. They also left a hole in the fence so their dog could fit his head through it and entertain passersby with his impressions of the King of Pop.
Philly-based blogger Jordan Price managed to catch one of the dog’s performances and shared it on her Instagram @/foodsweatnbeers.
It is safe to say that the social media users were impressed. Price’s video quickly spread across the internet and got close to three million likes on Instagram alone, as well as numerous comments that praised the dog, which already earned the moniker “Michael Barkson” and the “Prince of Pup.”
“This is the best thing I have ever seen!!!!” one user wrote in the comments section of the video.
“Ima just say you won the internet with this one,” another added.

]]>This Australian Koolie was one of the heroic figures of the efforts to minimize the harm caused by the bushfires. He helped save more than 100 koalas using his tracing skills to find injured or trapped specimens, which allowed rescue teams to treat them and get them to safety.
Impressed with Bear’s heroics in tough times, the International Fund for Animal Welfare recently decided to honor the courageous canine with an Animal Action Award at the ceremony held in London’s House of Lords. While Bear couldn’t come to receive it in person, he did make a virtual appearance.
Bear, who is part of the University of the Sunshine Coast’s Detection Dogs for Conservation team, also received an appropriate gift to keep him entertained when he’s taking a break from heroism.
“We think Bear really deserved this award because he’s been such a good boy in helping us find and rescue a lot of koalas, especially during the bushfires, but he works throughout the year to help us in our job to make a better and safer place for koalas,” said Dr. Romane Cristescu, who serves as Bear’s handler. “We’ll give Bear extra pats and extra play for his award.”
Bear became a part of the Detection Dogs for Conservation Team after being abandoned by his owners. He is regarded as the team’s most capable member thanks to his ability to find koalas based on the scent of their fur. In fact, the brave doggo is so popular that he has his own Instagram page.
