The Paper Ark: Check Out Stunning Miniature Paper Art Inspired By Birds

The Paper Ark is a creative collaboration between artists Nayan Shrimali and Venus Bird, dedicated to honoring Earth’s amazing biodiversity. We’ve seen them celebrate many different animal species, but most of their miniature paper creations pay homage to birds.

The Paper Ark is the brainchild of the Indiana paper-cut artist Nayan Shrimali, who enjoys capturing the intricacies of nature on paper. He frequently collaborates with watercolor artist Venus Bird, who brings his paper creations alive with a vibrant pop of colors.

Both artists enjoy going birdwatching and exploring the wilderness around their city, and their love for nature inspired them to use their platform to educate people about the importance of biodiversity.

The duo’s signature “1,000 Feathers Project” saw them create 1,000 distinct artworks inspired by wildlife, in an attempt to raise awareness about the environment and conservation, and many of them pay homage to their favorite species – birds.

“We want to bring attention to how fragile everyone is through art and stories. To pique viewers’ curiosity and encourage them to learn more about our wildlife, we took on the challenge of creating miniature, highly detailed birds, animals, and all the beautiful beings found in the world,” reads The Paper Ark’s official website.
