CEO and founder Tyson Walters, came up with this idea back in 2011 when he noticed that his St. Bernard dog Harley was shedding everywhere and there was no product to contain it. He decided to make something that would solve this problem.
“My goal was to develop a onesie that went on the dog so that I could contain Harley’s hair effectively and safely,” Walters said.
He spent years perfecting the Shed Defender, testing out different fabrics and designs. When people from his hometown loved the product, Walters got inspired to launch the website and offered it worldwide.
Today, many dog lovers are sharing photos of their beloved pets wearing onesies and dogs are definitely loving it.
