Aleia Murawski and Sam Copeland are proud pet owners, however, they don’t own cats or dogs— they own snails. And they build cozy apartments, restaurants, bowling clubs, and basketball courses from things they find.

Little love letters for snail friends 💌

It all began when Copeland discovered them while visiting his mom and dad. First, they made a terrarium to their new friends, but later they started creating miniature scenes.

“It is a really fun challenge for us to come up with these scenes and to find different ways to execute it so it feels believable and lived in, despite its fabrication,” Murawski told Colossal. “We are always looking for new ways to construct different elements in a scene and trying varied techniques to create depth and motion in our work.”

They let the snails enjoy their new environments, while the artistic duo snaps images or creates short but hilarious videos of their pets. They share their creations on Instagram where they have attracted almost 200,000 followers.
