This Playful 170-Pound Great Dane Tries to Cuddle in His Owner’s Lap

We all like to cuddle with our dogs and keep them in our lap. And they love it too and will want to keep on doing it even when they become too big for it. Just take a look at the three-year-old Great Dane named Larry.

Larry has more than 170 pounds and is huge compared to the majority of other dogs. He is now almost the size of his owner Ken Kempen. However, that isn’t stopping him from trying to get cuddles and snuggles.

Larry has developed a habit of jumping into Ken’s lap while he was a puppy and continues to do so. This resulted in numerous funny situations due to his size and even caused some damage like broken lamps and chairs.

“You never know when he’s going to do it, and he’ll never take no for an answer,” Larry’s human mom Beth told Metro in a recent chat. “He’ll do it to all of the family because if it’s a lap, he’ll sit on it. He’s got to be one of the biggest lap dogs in the world.”

On several occasions, the Kempen family filmed Larry and his lap jumps. They’ve shared some of the footage on social media, and it didn’t take long before Larry became a viral sensation. He now has his own social media account with 160K followers who can’t get enough of his antics.

While Larry can get a handful at times, his owners love him just as he is and always encourage him to be himself.

“Despite everything, we’ve made some truly amazing friends through our page, and we love Larry so much. We wouldn’t have it any other way,” Beth adds.
