The prices of pet medications have never been higher, and it seems it is only going up. Luckily, one TikToker has revealed a secret that will help you get cheaper medication for your pet without compromising its health.
TikTok user Legacy recently shared a clip in which she detailed her recent visit to an animal clinic. Her cat was sick, and after getting examined, the veterinarian decided she needed amoxicillin. The price of the medication was $100 if bought on the spot.
Legacy’s mom thought the price was on the steep side and asked if there is a way to get it cheaper. The staff told them one of the options was Chewy, but it would take weeks to process the prescription. It was at this point that one veterinarian mentioned they could “Call it into Walmart.”
“You can ask for the prescription number from us and call it into Walmart yourself and get it there,” the veterinarian told Legacy while mentioning the same can be done with Walgreens or Meyer.
The TikToker did as she told and ended up paying only $10 for the exact same medicine and the exact same dosage.
Legacy’s video quickly became popular on social media, being viewed 1.6 million times in a short span of time.
Pet owners showered Legacy with praise, thanking her for this awesome tip.
