Cats can be the most affectionate creatures in the world when they want to be. But as many cat owners learned over time, showing this side of their personality isn’t always the felines’ first instinct, and it can be quite a challenge to get it on the surface.
One cat owner named Amy was recently trying to capture a moment in which her “usually vicious” cat was being sweet to her. But she ended up getting more than she bargained for.
A clip shared on TikTok shows the cat snuggling in Amy’s lap and enjoying cuddles. At one point, the cat is enjoying so much that she raises her paw for a high five, delighting her owner.
The video became viral after being shared back in April and had other cat owners sharing similar experiences in the comments section.
“Whenever my no cuddle cat comes to cuddle I immediately panic that one of us is dying. We both are fine,” one person commented.
“Anyone with an aggressive cat recognises your cautiousness. it’s the most rewarding when they are sweet though,” another added.
So don’t worry if your cat isn’t affectionate with you. That moment is surely coming, and it will be the best thing ever.
