The adorable dog Max spent eight years living with his family, and he was heartbroken after they took him back to the same shelter where he was adopted. His luck has turned again after the shelter shared his story on social media, and an old friend of Max’s decided to give him a new forever home.
Max’s story went viral after Sarah Brown shared it with the world on her TikTok page. She’s one of the employees at the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, from where he was adopted eight years ago before his family decided to return him due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
Brown’s video attracted 2.5 million views on TikTok after she captioned it by writing, “POV: the only family you’ve ever known returns you to the shelter after adopting you as a puppy eight years ago”, which saw Max sitting in a cage with a heartbroken expression on his face.

According to PSPCA, Brown’s viral video caught the attention of someone “from his old life” and it didn’t take long for him to find a new forever home.
“She was eager to get him back to somewhere he felt safe. Somewhere, he felt loved. And there was no better place than her home – forever,” a PSPCA representative told People.
