Parrots are highly intelligent birds. Besides being able to mimic the human sound and “speak,” they can also perform various tricks. Training parrots to perform tricks is a slow process that requires a lot of patience, but when successful, it is really impressive, as a recent viral video shared on social media shows.
In a clip shared by Instagram profile Birds of Paradise, a small parrot can be seen doing an array of impressive tricks. After its human knocks a coin on the table, the parrot opens the door of its cage and comes out. The bird then proceeds to put the same coin in the coin container, place a ring on the ring holder, and put away a plastic cap in a small trash can.
The parrot’s human continues providing the parrot with more trash, coins, and rings, and each time, the bird knows where to put them away. After finishing its performance, the parrot steps back into its cage, opening and closing the door by itself once again.
“Smart parrots have the courage to act cute,” it says in the caption of the video.
