The game of fetch is a great way for dogs and their owners to have some fun and bond. But sometimes, either the dog or the owner doesn’t have the energy to run around and throw the ball. That’s when lazy fetch comes in.
One dog owner shared a video of the laziest game of fetch they had with their Golden Retriever named Hudson.
The two can be seen lying on the floor in close proximity to each other. They take turns slightly nudging the ball towards each other with minimum effort. It’s technically a fetch but one that requires minimum effort and is actually quite relaxing.
“Putting in lots of effort,” it says in the caption of the video that is branded as “the best game of fetch all time.”
The video, which received close to five million views, delighted internet users.
“That’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen,” one TikTok user wrote in the comments.
As it turns out, a lazy game of fetch is quite popular among other dog owners.
“My golden and I do this. We call it lazy ball,” one dog owner shared.
“This is the level of lazy my dog and I aspire for,” another confessed.
