Houston-based dog lover and animal advocate Amanda Hulebak found out a great way to spread stray dog awareness and encourage dog fostering; by making awesome puppy-filled Christmas cards.

Amanda decided to take a photo with a group of 18 rescue dogs she takes care of – six of which she adopted and 12 she fosters – and send it to people as a Christmas card.

The photo turned out great, although it “took hours” for photographer Kaley Elaine to get it right.

“It was a lot of fun because our photographer was so great and patient — the dogs loved her,” –Amanda told ABC News.

The first time she did this was three years ago when she only had four dogs, and it quickly turned into a Christmas tradition.

According to her, the goal of these Christmas cards and photos is to show people that dogs, no matter the breed, can behave and be an enjoyable company, and inspire them to pay more attention to the wellbeing of animals.
