You Can Have Lunch With Wild Animals in a New Restaurant in Bangkok

The Animal Café is the second and newest exotic restaurant in Bangkok where you can have lunch or dinner surrounded by wild animals. It’s located in the city’s center, at La Raffles community mall.

“The two-part venue offers a café area with an adjoining owl room on the ground floor and a restaurant/playroom area with the other animals upstairs. The entry fee is B200 per person (B100 for child) which once purchased is used to buy food and drink inside,” writes Bangkok Post.

“There’s a good variety of adorable animals you can pet, including OMG-it’s-so-soft chinchillas, big-eyed owls, agile fennec foxes and regal caracals. We came away with zero bites but regardless, we recommend you always be gentle when playing with them, making sure that staff are present too. On the more exotic side, there are cherry shrimps, colourful tiny crabs, Argentine horned frogs and a salamander to, uhm, watch. Oh and if you’re a Harry Potter fan, there are full costumes you can put on to feel like a true Gryffindor in the owl room too,” the portal writes.
