]]>Sometimes though, finding something clinging behind your dog doesn’t make for a dreadful moment — it makes for a wholesome one.
Sally Watkinson recently detailed on Facebook how she found a baby Australian ringtail possum pulling on her dog’s back as it clung for its very life. This made for an incredibly cute and wholesome moment, which, to no one’s surprise, became viral as soon as photos of the incident went up online.
What’s even more amazing about what happened to Sally is that this didn’t just happen once, it happened twice!
For some reason, Sally and her dog seem to attract possums.
As for the ending to the story, it was happy for everybody. Sally’s partner, John, looked for wildlife rescue organizations to take in the possums that they found. Meanwhile, they took her dogs to the vet, presumably to be checked if they contracted anything from being in close contact with wild animals.

]]>All of that imagination inside those little tiny minds, we’re bound to make some of the weirdest and most amazing creations even when earned with nothing but a couple of crayons and pieces of paper. But, of course, we can’t exactly hold these creations of ours. The most that can happen to them is they’ll be hung up on our walls or fridges for a couple of days and weeks before they’re taken down and replaced with another one, until, eventually, you forget to make these drawings altogether.
It’s a very sad and real transition that every kid goes to.
But, what if we could turn those colorful creations into something real and concrete? Like, for example, a real-life plush toy that a child can hold and sleep with?
That’s the idea that Alex Furmansky has when he founded Budsie kids’ toys back in 2013. After seeing his younger sister’s scary monster drawings and how she took care of her plush animals, he decided to try and turn his little sister’s drawings into a real-life animal friend, and what do you know? It actually worked.
From the very first Budsie, a dog-like creature named Dongler, Budsies has turned kids’ drawings into a reality.

]]>What do you think all of these names have in common? Well, if you guessed their cats’names, then you guessed right. Because, as much as you might initially think that we’re just listing down names just for the heck of it, all four names above are the names of the cats given by the loving people who work at Austin Pets Alive!
Austin Pets Alive! is an animal shelter whose taste in cat names is as eccentric as they are at insisting that their shelter’s name actually includes an exclamation point.
Whoever is assigned to name cats over at the animal shelter definitely deserves a raise.
If no one wants to adopt their shelter cats after knowing just how awesome their names are, then I don’t know what else they can do to get people to adopt their cats.
Judging by how often the shelter posts about cats (and other pets they shelter) getting adopted, it’s safe to say that everything’s been working quite well for them.

]]>No, you probably haven’t been. With so many stray cats out there and the possibility of them getting hostile and attacking you, it’s not surprising that most people are wary of stray cats and try their best to steer clear of them. But, while it’s a perfectly normal reaction to avoid stray cats, what’s not normal is to shoo them away by throwing rocks at them.
After all, much like ourselves, stray cats are just trying to get by — they too have families to feed.
We may not see their families ourselves and we definitely may not think that they’re struggling just like we do, but they do.
That’s something that Galeri Sentuhan ArifSan wanted to illustrate in his artwork. Galeri Sentuhan ArifSan draws all sort of things, but perhaps after seeing the injustice done to stray cats, the artist decided to do something to open our eyes to their daily struggles.
