]]> A goat named Lily was only 5 days old when she became part of the Friendly Fields Farm family. She was rejected by her mother at birth, and weighed only 2 pounds.

As she was getting older, she began showing her true personality. She became a little creature full of energy and curiosity. She loved to play and explore, and was slowly getting to know the other members of the farm family.

First, she wanted to befriend a rabbit called Lawrence, but he really wasn’t into having a baby goat as his bestie. Then her attention moved to the cats, more precisely onto their older feline called Bean. They became a perfect couple. They would curl up on the couch and sleep.

According to the owner Alexa B. Murray growing up, Lily has always had different priorities in life.

“She prefers a life of leisure and luxury! She loves to jump and play, but when the afternoon sun comes out you can find her sitting in one of her favorite spots taking a nap each day. She stretches out and drifts off to sleep, happy as can be,” she says.

]]> Due to coronavirus pandemic, most people are forced to communicate via video calls. And while they get the job done, they can also get a bit boring. Well, The Sweet Farm, an animal sanctuary from California, offers a solution for that.

The Sweet Farm recently introduced a Goat 2 Meeting program in which they offer you a chance to spend some virtual time with farm animals like goats and lamas. They enable you to include animals into your conference calls and boost the morale of your workers or simply enjoy a virtual tour around the farm.

The individuals and companies are required to contribute a donation to the sanctuary for the Goat 2 Meeting, but schools and nonprofits can spend time with animals for free.

The Sweet Farm will join your video call, introduce you to animals, and let you enjoy their company for a while. The staff will also happily answer any questions you may have about their sanctuary or animals.

“I think we’re all a little stressed with what’s going on — many of us have been sitting inside,” The Sweet Farm co-founder Anna Sweet told Business Insider in a recent chat. “We’re just hoping to bring some smiles to people’s faces while bringing them out to the farm at the same time.”

]]> Nima Sanctuary is a safe haven for farm animals and is the first and only sanctuary of its kind in Romania. It’s located in Brăduleţ commune, Arges County, a village where the primary occupation of the inhabitants is raising farm animals. The small village, situated at the foothills of a mountain, is on the transhumance route to the alpine pastures.

The sanctuary consists of several private properties where animals live in a small private household in the best conditions. They rescued cows from factory farms and take good care of them, letting them live a happy life. They are dedicated to the Nima cows, saved along with other cows from a dairy farm in the process of closure.

Nima has successfully operated and rescued many cows from the slaughterhouse. They inspired hundreds of people from the country and abroad, who helped to make possible the first rescue action of this kind in Romania.

The sanctuary is currently expanding and they are in need of more pasture for their growing numbers of rescued cows and steers. You can help them in their mission by giving donations thru their website.
