]]>In a video shared on TikTok, @theogmady can be seen taking attending to her guinea pig pets. At one point, she takes a small pouch and notices there is something inside. After she puts the pouch down, a small guinea pig jumps out to TikToker’s apparent shock.
“We thought we had two girl guinea pigs …” it says in the text posted in the video, which got viewed more than four million times since being posted in late March.
Other TikTok users were amused by the video, although some wondered how @theogmady could fail to notice that there was a baby guinea pig running inside. As it turns out, newborn guinea pigs are born with full fur and are immediately active and can run around.
Later on, @theogmady shared a series of photos in which she detailed the story about her guinea pig pets. It turned out that the black guinea pig Jesse is actually a male while the white one named Bo Peep is a girl. She also added that “mama and baby are doing great.”

]]>The video features a “challenger” named Wilburn trying to take the tile from “reigning champ” Milo. Each of the guinea pigs receives a single stem of parsley and wastes no time trying to devour them.
Wilburn gets in the lead, reaching the parsley leaves quicker than Milo. However, Wilburn encountered difficulties chewing the leaves, allowing Milo to make a comeback.
“Challenger Wilbur is determined to beat reigning champ Milo in the much anticipated Guinea Pig Parsley Eating Contest. With each contestant weighing in at 2 pounds 12 ounces, the race is certain to be a close one,” shared Wilburn and Milo’s owner.
Check out the video below to see who won.
It isn’t surprising to see Wilburn and Milo downing parsley quickly. Guinea pigs enjoy eating fresh herbs, and parsley is one of their favorite treats. They will also happily snack on rosemary, dill, and basil. Vegetables are important staples of their diet as well, with carrots, peppers, and broccoli being at the top of their preferences.

]]>Dwyer recently shared a clip that shows how he grows grass for his guinea pigs without using dirt. The process starts with Dwyer placing seeds into a plastic container and then covering them with water and adding a splash of apple cider vinegar. The vinegar helps prevent mold from growing.
Once the seeds have been soaked enough, he transfers them to a plastic tray and washes them off. The seeds quickly start sprouting, and beautifully green grass begins to show up. He makes sure to water it twice a day so it can continue growing.
After 10 days, the grass is ready to be fed to the guinea pigs.
“Growing grass like this is good because it means that the guinea pigs can eat the grass as well as the roots,” Dwyer says in the video.
What follows is a feast for guinea pigs, who leave nothing behind. Check out the video below and get inspired to prepare a similar meal for your pet.
