]]>Animal sanctuary Millington’s Magical Barn, which is based in Yorkshire, England, recently shared a video on Instagram that shows an adorable sheep waging its tail after seeing its “favorite person”.
“POV: you’ve been waiting for your favorite person all day,” it says in the text of the video.
The clip ended up getting 2.2 million likes since being shared in February and surprised a lot of social media users who didn’t know that sheep wag their tails when they are happy.
“I didn’t even realize they had tails long enough to wave,” one user wrote in the comments section.
Some users joked that the sheep somehow became a dog.
“I’m sorry, but that’s a dog,” one person stated.
“Bro downloaded the dog software by accident,” another added.
As it turns out, sheep waging its tail is not as uncommon as it sounds. Besides showing their happiness, sheep also wag their tail when they nurse their lambs, when they flirt with each other, and enjoy a particular activity like receiving scratches.

]]>Tennessee-based Gentle Barn farm animal sanctuary recently shared an adorable video that shows a herd of rescue sheep encountering the snow for the first time. The sheep were first reluctant to step outside of their barn, being cautious about the white cover on the ground. But after some encouragement from the staff, they got out and loved every moment of it.
Sheep can be seen running around, jumping, and even tasting the snow.
“Wait for the snow zoomies. Our Tennessee sanctuary hasn’t seen snowfall like this since we rescued these boys, and despite some initial hesitation they had the most magical time,” Gentle Barn team wrote in the caption of the video.

]]>“One day we got home and we heard a little lamb crying out,” Quintin shared with The Dodo. “He was so week at the start, he couldn’t stand on his own feet.”
However, as time went by, Zuko started feeling better and began showing his true personality.
“He thinks he owns the show. He jumps on the couch, he jumps from table to table,” Robin explained. “It was so amazing watching how he just transformed from really being on the brink of death to this amazing, full of light and energy little man.”
Zuko has his big brother named Morty, but, at night, the lamb only wants to sleep with his rescuers.
“When it’s time to go to bed, he jumps straight up onto the bed and he finds a spot, and he usually just nestles up into a little loaf between us,” Quintin added.

]]>“Odlaug and Nilia would spend every minute of the day together if they could,” Nilia’s mom shared with The Dodo. “They wake up early every morning and the first thing that Nilia does is run to Odlaug to feed her breakfast.”
Before going to school, the adorable duo helps out with chores, which they both love to do.
“Because she can’t go to school with her, they’ve made a deal. Odlaug gets to walk her down the road,” she added. “Odlaug doesn’t really do much while she’s away. She mostly mopes around waiting for her to come back. But as soon as she gets home, she gets so excited again.”
Odlaug and Nilia love going for long walks together and sometimes they have a little picnic out in the field.
“They just play outside for hours. And then Nilia comes up with an obstacle course for her. And then it’s time to go to bed. But not without a bedtime story first.”
