This Sheep Wags Its Tail When It Sees Its “Favorite Person”

We know that dogs wag their tails when they want to show happiness or excitement. But it appears that some other animals also possess this trait.

Animal sanctuary Millington’s Magical Barn, which is based in Yorkshire, England, recently shared a video on Instagram that shows an adorable sheep waging its tail after seeing its “favorite person”.

“POV: you’ve been waiting for your favorite person all day,” it says in the text of the video.

The clip ended up getting 2.2 million likes since being shared in February and surprised a lot of social media users who didn’t know that sheep wag their tails when they are happy.

“I didn’t even realize they had tails long enough to wave,” one user wrote in the comments section.

Some users joked that the sheep somehow became a dog.

“I’m sorry, but that’s a dog,” one person stated.

“Bro downloaded the dog software by accident,” another added.

As it turns out, sheep waging its tail is not as uncommon as it sounds. Besides showing their happiness, sheep also wag their tail when they nurse their lambs, when they flirt with each other, and enjoy a particular activity like receiving scratches.
