]]>Ali and Brandon rescued Freddie when he was just four weeks old. His mother was nowhere to be found, so the couple took care of the baby squirrel, fed him, and helped him grow up strong and independent. After four months, they decided to release him back to the wild.
But as it turns out, Freddie didn’t forget everything Ali and Brandon did for him. He never went too far and instead visited them on a daily basis. This prompted the couple to make a TikTok account for the squirrel, where they share the adventures they have together.
Freddie often hangs out in Ali and Brandon’s backyard and loves to play with them.
The squirrel also became a good friend with their dog Lou.
Of course, there is another reason why Freddie likes to visit Ali and Brandon. Every time he comes by, the couple has a few treats in store for him. While he loves nuts and almonds, his favorite treat is avocado.

]]>Reddit user Chrissy Joan (@cowskeeper) recently shared an amusing video that shows her playing with a squirrel. The tiny animal jumps all over Joan and seems to be having the time of its life.
“We helped this squirrel when he was a baby, and he comes back to us everyday to play,” wrote Joan in the caption.
The post quickly attracted the attention of other Reddit users, who were impressed by the bond between Joan and Samuel. Many of them wanted to know more, and luckily, Joan delivered. She uploaded several more videos of Samuel while sharing his backstory.
According to Joan, who owns a small farm nearby Vancouver, her family found Samuel when he was a baby. He was in need of help at the time, so Joan contacted one wildlife rescue organization to ask for advice. With the help of professionals, she nursed Samuel back to health and released him to the wild when he got better.
But it turned out that Samuel didn’t want to move away. So the squirrel made a home for himself on a nearby tree and is now visiting every day to get some love from Joan.

]]>These extreme conditions have been especially tough on the wildlife, which has limited means to deal with this heat. Luckily, animal lovers are doing their best to help them cool down, even for a bit.
One of them is Joe Rojas-Burke, a Portland-based science writer and former cell biology researcher, who recently decided to offer some refreshment to the local squirrels by leaving ice cubes on his porch. It didn’t take long for one thirsty squirrel to take the offer, and luckily for us, Rojas-Burke managed to capture this on camera.
The video, which since became viral on social media, shows a squirrel munching on an ice cube in an adorable way. She then realizes she’s being recorded, glancing at the camera several times, but can’t resist the ice and continues to lick it.
This isn’t the only way Rojas-Burke helps the animals in need during the hot days. He also regularly refills the birdbath in his yard so the birds and bees could stay hydrated.

]]>“He regained most of his mobility. But the arm that had taken a deep claw puncture from the hawk would never recover,” his mom Rochelle Zambrowicz told The Dodo. “But he actually started climbing really well and didn’t seem to even notice that [his arm] wasn’t working.”
Buster does so many funny things, he loves stretching his arms, yawning, sticking his tongue out, running around, and napping. However, there is one thing that’s his favorite: wrestling.
“He’s got his special wrestling move, where he’s by the floor, you put your hand out, [he] grabs it, tries to body-slam your hand on the ground” his dad Jeremy Walker added. “I guess that’s a takedown.”
Buster is a playful little creature and anyone who meets him loves him. If you want to see his wrestling moves, check him out on Instagram.
