Instagram users were recently amazed by the video of rescue rats Kuzko and Kronk driving a mini car by themselves.

It turns out that Kuzko and Kronk received a mini car from their owner’s dad. The project was inspired by research from the University of Richmond, which showed that rats can learn how to drive tiny cars and that the experience is actually relaxing for them.

Kuzko and Kronk’s features a simple setup with three pedals that cause it to go forward, turn left, and turn right. During a period of a couple of months, rats received training through a reward system and quickly picked up the basics. 

“After only a couple months of 5-10 minute lessons each day, we’ve been blown away by how skilled Kuzko and Kronk have become at accurately turning and accelerating their cars!” the owner explained in a caption of the video that received more than one million likes.

Last week, Foley posted a photo of an adorable tiny owl standing on his couch. He explained that he got acquainted with the owl, who he nicknamed Mr. Hoot, three months ago after learning the bird was living in a tree near his bedroom.

At first, Mr. Hoot would just sit on Foley’s window, and the two would “chat” occasionally. However, the tiny owl got comfortable lately and started entering the house. During one of those visits, he managed to snap a photo.

The Facebook post quickly became viral, with internet users wanting to learn more about his unusual friend. This prompted Foley to get experts to check on Mr. Hoot and he started building a house for him.

“He pops in around 11 p.m., and we chat away,” he told The Dodo. “I keep [a few feet] away from him, just so he feels safe. [I] leave a window open [and] he normally pops out by 6 a.m., back to his favorite walnut tree.”

Since sharing the original story, Foley made several updates saying that the bird is enjoying its time on the property. Mr. Hoot still comes for regular visits, and Foley is talking with experts to see how he can help the bird.

One beagle named Ruby, who was rescued as a pup and adopted by her current owner, is afraid of car rides. But she is lucky enough to have someone who helps make those scary moments manageable; her bigger brother, Dino the Dalmatian.

A clip shared on Ruby and Dino’s joint TikTok profile captures one of their car rides. Ruby seems visibly nervous at the beginning of the ride, but as soon as Dino gives her a reassuring embrace, she immediately gets more comfortable. Towards the end of the video, Ruby gets so relaxed that she starts snoozing.

Stefan recently shared a video on TikTok in which he detailed Finn’s unusual activity. The clip features Finn tackling random cans and bottles he sees on the street and bringing them to his owner. According to Stefan, he doesn’t know why Finn does this, but it is obvious that he loves it.

Once Finn collects enough bottles and cans, he and his owner visit the local bottle depot and exchange them for money. All the proceeds end up going towards new toys and accessories for Finn.

According to the organization, Holly the rabbit spent her entire life in a “tiny cage being tested on.” After being freed by the Beagle Freedom Project team from a testing lab, Holly was brought to their rescue facilities and encouraged to get outside and hop on the grass for the first time.

Initially, Holly was afraid of the outdoors, choosing to stay in her carrier. But after being bribed with a juicy carrot, the bunny finally finds the courage to come out.

The rabbit can later be seen enjoying green pastures, getting snuggles, and overall embracing her newfound freedom.

Holly quickly captured the hearts of social media users, while Beagle Freedom Project received praise for their actions.

“Thank you for saving her, you are doing amazing things,” one TikToker wrote.
