Mid-cruise, this canine wonder does a smooth turnaround on the board, not missing a beat before kicking off again. If skateboards came with seat belts, this dog would definitely need one.

Sure, watching a dog skateboard is as entertaining as it gets. But there’s a cool reminder in there too. This skateboarding Shiba shows us the joy of stepping (or pawing) outside our comfort zones. It’s about the fun in learning something new, the bond between pet and owner, and yes, about having the coolest party trick in town.

So, next time you think about dusting off that old skateboard, remember the skateboarding Shiba that could probably teach us all a trick or two.

A Shiba Inu named Jack Daniels recently got an opportunity to follow his owner while shopping at Lowe’s, a home improvement retailer. It turned out to be a great day for the dog, as his owner allowed him to pick out a toy for himself.

A reel shared on Jack’s Instagram page shows the dog riding in a shopping cart past a rack of toys. The pupper has his eyes fixated on the toys, prompting his owner to tell him he can pick out a toy. Jack takes some time, giving the toys a good sniff, before settling on a blue fuzzy plush toy and immediately starting to play with it.

“I saw him staring at the toys and let him pick his favorite,” Jack’s owner wrote in the caption of the video.

Other Instagram users applauded the owner for surprising his dog this way while also pointing out that it is not a surprise he went for a blue toy. Dogs have dichromatic vision, meaning they can only differentiate blue and yellow colors. Even if Jack chose the toy just because it was blue, we have no doubts that it was still a great pick.

Kiki is an American Shorthair cat who has a pack of Shiba Inus – Saki, Ibuki, and Hazuki—as siblings. He was raised with these three dogs and doesn’t feel threatened by them at all. As a matter of fact, Kiki sometimes thinks he’s a dog as well.

This adorable bunch enjoys spending their time together and loves to engage in all kinds of fun activities. This includes wrestling, running around the house, and posing for heartwarming photos.

Kiki got so used to life in the dog pack that he now even follows some of their routines. One video posted on their official Instagram page (of course they have an Instagram page, duh!) shows Kiki patiently waiting alongside his siblings in front of the plates with food. Only after hearing his owner’s command and seeing Saki, Ibuki, and Hazuki start eating, he also gets around to it.

But is he truly as grumpy as he looks?

“Chester is a drama queen,” his owner Kirby Kaufman confessed to Bored Panda. “He’s very grumpy and clingy. He loves being petted. But only when he lets you pet him. Typical shiba attitude.”

Kirby adopted Chester from the Nebraska Humane Society in Omaha in 2017 and the dog was 10-years-old at the time. This September he’ll be 13.

While Kirby loves his pet very much, a lot of his friends couldn’t help but wonder why his dog looks so mad. Some of them even call Chester a demon dog.

“Chester is grumpy to the deepest of his core. He’s what all grumpsters aspire to be. He embodies the rage we all have on the inside,” Kirby said.

In spite of all this, we love Chester very much and he’s truly something special in his own way.

Hachi is a Shiba Inu owned by Japanese photographer Masayo Ishizuki, aka Issy Rider. The photographer told Bored Panda that he loves taking pictures of Hachi posing with flowers because “he looks really sharp in flowers and is ridiculously cute.”

The photos of Hachi were taken at Hitachi Seaside Park, a garden with a wide variety of colorful flowers and grass that blooms throughout the seasons. This public park houses an estimated 4.5 million nemophila plants, which make the whole garden as blue as the sky. Other flowers at the park include: sunflowers, tulips, narcissi, poppies, and kochia.

Hunter’s owner Kenny Au came to an idea to teach his dog how to paint after he and his wife Denise struggled to figure out which artwork to put on one of the walls in their house.

“We tried a few things different things, but couldn’t really settle on anything.” – Au told Bored Panda. ” Since Hunter is such a huge part of our lives, we thought it would be appropriate if he made some artwork for us.  We tried training him to hold the brush, and then touch the brush to a piece of paper, and when we added paint, the result was very surprising.”

After Hunter fell in love with his new hobby, Kenny made it the part of his daily routine and also started to share some of his pet’s artwork with social media users. People fell in love with the abstract works of this adorable Shiba Inu, and started asking are his paintings for sale.

Following this huge demand, Kenny and Denise decided to start offering his paintings on Etsy for a fixed price of $50.41 while using the money to finance art tools so Hunter could continue to paint.

When someone approaches, the dog adorably pops up his little face to greet the customers and make sure the business goes efficiently. The store offers customers roasted sweet potatoes which they can buy at USD$1. It is a trust-based system, where they simply leave the payment after picking the yummy food from the white box.

The food stall is designed in colorful and artistic signage, with one sign writing, “Because I am a dog, I can’t give you change.” However, tips are appreciated as this means extra treats for the dog for doing his job well.
