Watch Adorable Shiba Inu Pick Out a Toy for Himself in the Store

An increasing number of retailers allow customers to bring their pets along for shopping session. This not only makes their stores a more cheerful place but also drives up the sales because shoppers can’t resist getting something for their animal companions, especially if they are on good behavior.

A Shiba Inu named Jack Daniels recently got an opportunity to follow his owner while shopping at Lowe’s, a home improvement retailer. It turned out to be a great day for the dog, as his owner allowed him to pick out a toy for himself.

A reel shared on Jack’s Instagram page shows the dog riding in a shopping cart past a rack of toys. The pupper has his eyes fixated on the toys, prompting his owner to tell him he can pick out a toy. Jack takes some time, giving the toys a good sniff, before settling on a blue fuzzy plush toy and immediately starting to play with it.

“I saw him staring at the toys and let him pick his favorite,” Jack’s owner wrote in the caption of the video.

Other Instagram users applauded the owner for surprising his dog this way while also pointing out that it is not a surprise he went for a blue toy. Dogs have dichromatic vision, meaning they can only differentiate blue and yellow colors. Even if Jack chose the toy just because it was blue, we have no doubts that it was still a great pick.
