In a recent viral video shared on YouTube, a small mouse can be seen peeking behind the kitchen stove. After concluding that the air is clear, the mouse jumps on the kitchen counter and dives head-first into an open pack of Oreo cookies.

Without any hesitation, the mouse grabs one cookie, which is almost as big as him, and takes it away into his lair.

The video ended up amusing internet users while also prompting opposing reactions. Some users found it “gross” and recommended the homeowner to “throw the whole stove away.” But others were quite supportive of the mouse’s actions.

“Oh that’s so funny … biscuit was twice his size, brave little mouse,” one user commented.

“Love this tiny mouse,” another added.

Something tells us that this mouse might soon have to find a new home after being discovered. But at least he got one final treat to enjoy.

“In the beginning, he didn’t go very far,” Gustav’s owner shared with The Dodo. “The day after his eyes opened, that’s when I bought this thank and set this up with a hot water bottle and blankets as well.”

She wanted Gustav to feel at home, so she decided to recreate his wild habitat.

“When I first set it up, you could tell he was really excited ‘cause there was plenty of places to explore, like there’s things to climb and things to dig through. At the top we’ve got his little house that he sleeps in.”

When not playing in his tank, Gustav likes to sit on his owner’s shoulder and eat healthy home-made food.

“I thought, you know, if I’m making me a pizza, why not make a tiny one for him? It’s good because instead of giving him just his plain mouse food every day, like he gets a salad with fresh vegetables and fruits and nuts every day as well.”

Photographer Hannah Assil managed to change our opinions on mice by showing us the other side of the story. She took beautiful pictures of a mouse, she calls Fridolin, after he barely survived a cat’s attack.

“Before he was even able to open his eyes, he and his mother found themselves in the mouth of a cat. While his beloved Mum did not survive the attack, the little guy got dropped by the cat and landed on the floor. Fortunately, a kid witnessed what happened and rescued Fridolin” Assil said to Bored Panda.

Fridolin was later rescued and adopted by a family and he’s living a happy life. Assil met with the mouse two times and captured these beautiful pictures of Fridolin smelling flowers.

Seeing the world through the eyes of a little mouse is something else, isn’t it?

“One day I emptied the tub out and spread the contents on the side – and the next day they were all back in again. I thought I was going mad,” Mckears told The Sun.

“I didn’t know what it was at first. The kids were saying it was a ghost,” he added.

He decided to scatter around some screws, nuts, and bolts and install a hidden camera to see who is actually responsible for the mysterious events in his shed. As it turned out, it wasn’t a ghost who was cleaning the place up.

The camera captured an adorable hard-working mouse that was trying to lift pieces almost twice bigger than him and putting them back into the box.

As it turned out, this small mouse was doing his cleanup work each night and would spend around two hours, before getting a deserved rest. The best of all is that the clever rodent continued to do this even after he was caught on camera.

“It is an amazing mouse. It’s still doing it now,” Mckears said.
