Bacon can be quite bad for cats. Due to bacon’s high content of sodium and fat, they can become dehydrated and their long-term health could be compromised. However, try telling that to cats, especially orange ones.
A hilarious video shared on TikTok by user @irelandreitarose shows an orange cat having to be contained around bacon. The cat was stopped just inches away from the plate with bacon but didn’t show any signs of giving up. Her eyes are wide open, and it is obvious that she will use even the slightest lapse in her owner’s attention to grab some.
The clip quickly spread across social media, getting 9.3 million views on TikTok alone. It also attracted more than 5K comments, with many users demanding that @irelandreitarose “frees” the cat.

Cats are naturally attracted to bacon. They like the smell, they sense it is meat, and probably see you enjoying it. Most experts agree that nothing bad will happen if a cat ends up eating a small piece of bacon. However, feeding a feline bacon on regular basis is a big “no no” and you should stay strong through all that cuteness and demands for just one bite.
