While recently camping at Brazil’s Mestre Álvaro mountain, TikTok user Bruno Ross received an unexpected visit. A giant Brazilian wandering spider decided to pay him a visit and “knock” on his tent.
Ross captured the encounter on camera and shared it on social media, with his video going instantly viral and receiving more than 43 million views in less than a week. The clip shows Ross holding a flashlight while the light hits the canvas of the tent and reveals a scary shadow of a huge spider.
Other TikTok users rushed to the comments section to show just how astonished they were by the video.
“There is absolutely NO reason why spiders need to be this big, like none,” one user wrote.
“And im out here crying over a tiny spider,” another added.
As it turned out, Ross wasn’t scared by the spider at all. In a chat with The Dodo, Ross said that he knew that the spider didn’t mean any harm. Instead of panicking, he calmly walked outside, and relocated the spider to a safe place using a stick.
“I wasn’t afraid. On the contrary, I like contact with nature,” Ross shared.
