To this day, you can still find people who don’t believe in the theory of evolution. Some even find it offensive that we “evolved from monkeys”. The truth is, of course, a bit more complicated but it’s absolutely true that humans and monkeys have the same ancestors.
One particularly interesting proof of this claim is that gorillas can, unlike any other animal, catch different diseases and illnesses from people. Yes, humans and gorillas share so much DNA similarity that you can infect a gorilla with a common cold if you find yourself nearby one.
