Cats are curious creatures by nature. However, that curiosity of theirs can get them in all sorts of trouble, and the viral video shared by TikToker @secondplacetheory captures that perfectly.
In a clip, which went viral and got more than 1.2 million views in less than a week, a cat named Oat can be seen deciding to “investigate” a glass of sparkling water sitting on his owner’s work table. But only one sip is enough for Oat to recognize that he made a terrible mistake.
The feline quickly backed away from the glass with a clear disgust on his face. After gathering itself, Oat approaches the sparkling water again, but this time just to give it a judging look.

Oat’s curiosity and his reaction to sparkling water ended up bringing a lot of chuckles to social media users.
“I am not a fan of sparkling water…but I suddenly find myself needing to buy some,” one user wrote in the comments section.
“The cats just like “now I understand why they call it liquid death,” another added.
It is important to note that while Oat didn’t like sparkling water, it is perfectly safe for animals to drink it as long as it doesn’t contain any flavors, sugars, or other additives.
