Tina Kraus Creates Insects and Reptiles From Crepe Paper

The insects, reptiles, and plants Tina Kraus makes using crepe paper look suspiciously realistic. After molding them, she adds details with paint and pastel chalk.

The Germany-based artist also enjoys spending time working on pop-up books, paper toys, and illustrating children’s books and magazines.

“I love working with paper; cutting it, folding it, tearing it, sewing it, transforming it, painting it,” she writes on her website. “There are so many possibilities! My second passion is food. I really enjoy cooking and baking all kinds of food from around the world. But since I lived in Korea for 4 months as an exchange student, you will probably find many dishes from Korean cuisine.”
