The insects, reptiles, and plants Tina Kraus makes using crepe paper look suspiciously realistic. After molding them, she adds details with paint and pastel chalk.
The Germany-based artist also enjoys spending time working on pop-up books, paper toys, and illustrating children’s books and magazines.
“I love working with paper; cutting it, folding it, tearing it, sewing it, transforming it, painting it,” she writes on her website. “There are so many possibilities! My second passion is food. I really enjoy cooking and baking all kinds of food from around the world. But since I lived in Korea for 4 months as an exchange student, you will probably find many dishes from Korean cuisine.”
