The job of a police officer is serious and stressful. However, that didn’t stop one police officer from putting those things aside and engaging in some playing time with a cat while on duty.
In a clip that recently went viral on TikTok, a police officer can be seen talking on the phone during a house visit. While handling the call, he is using his laser pen to entertain the residents’ pet cat.
TikToker Jess Crass explained via text in the video that the police officer actually came to tell her roommate that her car had been stolen.

The video has been viewed more than 13 million times since being posted several days ago, while other TikTokers praised the police officer for his actions.
“As a first responder, I always give the pets when I’m able too. It’s a nervous time for them too. He’s ligit!!” one user wrote in the comments section.
And it appears that it works the other way around, with pets providing first responders a moment of calmness in all the chaos that comes with their job.
“I’m a firefighter/paramedic and I love when I get to pet peoples pets. It really relieves stress for us,” another user added.
