Russian artist Anastasia Ablogina is best known for her beautiful textured palette knife paintings depicting the animal kingdom. However, while browsing through her Instagram gallery, where she currently has more than 23,000 followers, the artist mostly focuses on capturing the majestic beauty of whales.
Using vibrant colors and heavy brush strokes, Ablogina depicts her sea creatures in their natural habitat, capturing the soul and movement of these aquatic mammals. Besides whales, in her portfolio, you can find images of other animals, including owls, turtles, bears, birds, etc.
“Walking creatively means constantly succumbing to self-criticism, self-expression, and self-awareness, wandering about your memories, dreams, the world (whether it’s real or not), yielding to your imagination and being able to return from there with the baggage of the unreal,” the artist shared on her Instagram page explaining what art means for her.
