There Are 4 Hyena Species

Hyenas Live in Clans Ruled By Females

Hyenas live in social groups known as clans, which usually consist of 30 to 70 members. There is a strict hierarchy inside the clan, with female hyenas at the top, followed by their young. Native male members of the clan, as well as males who joined the clan, are ranked at the bottom of the hierarchy.
