These Illustrations are a Homage to Nature

Illustrator Michelle Morin is continually inspired by her natural surroundings. Living on the North Shore of Massachusetts, Morin has worked for many years in the horticultural field nurturing her relationship with plants and wildlife.

With many years designing and maintaining gardens, Morin’s love for flora and fauna grew strong. And having studied painting and art history at Massachusetts College of Art, it was only natural that she showcased her love of nature throughout her artwork.

“My paintings are an attempt at finding a balance within the complexities and subtleties of nature using texture, pattern, and narrative elements throughout,” Morin wrote on her personal website. “Through my travels, I continue to seek out inspiration from the natural world while honing in on the unique details that define each place.”

Her artworks range from elaborate watercolor and gouache compositions on paper to vast and more layered paintings on canvas. But whatever the case may be, her creations are sure to add a pop of summer to your feed.

Take a look.
