Who Can Say No to That Face?! Meet Sprout, the Brussels Griffon

Sprout is a smooth-coated Brussels Griffon (which is a type of dog, his owner assures, and not, not a woodland critter, gremlin, ewok or other mythical creature). And while his pout made him famous, the NYC based pooch has no worry in the world.

A tiny little tastemaker, he’s known online for his impeccable style, which consists mainly of sweaters. He’s also a fan of teeny tiny tennis balls. “My humans found me through a responsible breeder who they got to know for several months before flying down to meeting me and my littermates,” he shared in a mock-interview with Canine Journal. “As soon as I saw them, I knew they were mine. I pushed my way past my littermates and went right up to my mom and shoved my little pout in her face. The rest is history.”

The rest, indeed was history. Passionate about lengthy naps, snacks, and learning new tricks, Sprout has amassed a massive following online, with almost 170k followers on Instagram alone.

Having such a platform also gives his owner an opportunity to help less fortunate pups. “We are passionate about supporting shelters and putting an end to puppy mills,” she explains. “It’s important to help educate people so that they understand why buying a dog from a pet store or online (gasp!) is not OK and how they are actually perpetuating the vicious puppy mill cycle.”
