Wildlife Rescue Staffer Wears a Fox Mask While Feeding an Orphaned Baby Fox

Richmond Wildlife Center, a wildlife rescue organization from Virginia, recently shared a clip on Facebook that shows one of their staffers wearing a fox mask while feeding an orphaned baby fox. It quickly went viral, with internet users being amazed at the lengths wildlife rescuers are ready to go to in order to protect animals.

Richmond Wildlife Center initially asked its social media followers to help a recently orphaned baby fox and donate “stuffed adult Fox and kit” as well as “Fox head mask.” They explained that they “want the first things she sees to be other foxes” and that this step “is critically important if we are going to get her wild.”

Richmond Wildlife Center received the required items shortly after the plea from generous donors. They immediately put them to use and shared the process with their followers. This included a video of a staffer with a fox mask feeding the orphaned baby fox and the baby fox cuddling up with a stuffed fox.

“It’s important to make sure that the orphans that are raised in captivity do not become imprinted upon or habituated to humans,” Richmond Wildlife Center explained in the caption of the video.
