Cats seem like they can fit into any space and be comfortable in every position. However, this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be careful about the way you are picking them up and carrying them around.
It’s only natural to want to give your cat all the cuddles or simply carry it around. But while doing so, it is important to hold it properly so the feline can be comfortable and enjoy.
A while back, The Cattery Cat Shelter from Texas shared a video in which one member of their staff showed all the best ways to hold a cat. And whether you own a cat or simply want to fondle any cat you see on the street, it will be quite helpful.
According to The Cattery Cat Shelter, the most important thing is to support the cat’s backside when holding it. For example, if you are holding the upper part of a cat’s body with one hand, make sure the rear end is resting in your other hand. A few other great ways to hold a cat are cradling it like a baby or resting her backside onto your elbow pit.
“The key to carrying a cat is to make sure the cat is comfortable and well supported so their body isn’t dangling,” The Cattery Cat Shelter explains.
